FAQ - Miscellaneous
- Does RecycleMania actually collect our recycling?
No. RecycleMania does not have any role in collecting recyclables or providing services. The program’s purpose is to help raise awareness on campus to encourage students and others to take advantage of the recycling programs organized directly by the college.
- The population that is shown on our Campus Profile Page looks wrong. How can I change this?
Population data for all colleges and universities in the United States is automatically included for those schools participating with their entire campus. Read more about how these numbers are determined. Because these numbers are determined using a standardized counting methodology across all schools, alterations are discouraged in most cases where the numbers diverge by a small percent. If the population appears to be off by a significant margin (over 1,000), there may be an error. Contact the Helpline for assistance email@example.com.
- I am taking over the reporting for our school from someone else. How do I change the username and password on the account?
If you still have the previous coordinator’s email and password, use these to login to the account. After logging in, click the link for My Account, from which you can change the email address and other contact information. After this, logout of the account and bring up the log in page again. Use the “Forgot Password” function to substitute your preferred password.
- Do I need permission to use the RecycleMania name or logo on promotional materials we create locally?
Depends. RecycleMania is a trademarked program belonging to the non-profit RecycleMania Steering Committee (“RecycleMania, Inc”) . To simply produce flyer, poster or other forms of signage, no permission is necessary. Participating schools wishing to produce t-shirts, hats or other durable merchandise for non-commercial use may be licensed at no cost by indicating their intention to use it on the registration profile survey.
